Me Time!

June 10, 2015|Posted in: Healthy, Beautiful You!

IMG_6581Everyone deserves some “Me Time” once in a while.  But, if you’re a mom it‘s probably a very rare moment indeed when you find yourself alone with nothing you have to do.  It’s important to make a point of arranging time for yourself.  You’ll be a happier, more productive person if you do,  So, plan a night when your hubby will be away and send the kids to a sleepover at a friend’s house or to grandma’s house for the night so you can have some much deserved, and undoubtedly needed, alone time.  Just relax and enjoy your own company!

  1. Workout, Go for a Bike Ride, Take a Walk in the Park
  2. Pop Popcorn; Turn Out the Lights and Watch a Good Movie
  3. Take a Bubble Bath by Candlelight
  4. Cook an Amazing Meal, Set a Nice Table, Play Soft Music and Enjoy!
  5. Buy Some Flowers and Plant Them in Your Garden
  6. Go to the Craft Store, Pick out a Fun Project, Go Home and Create!
  7. Take Home a Good Book from the Library, Wrap up in a Blanket & Get Lost!
  8. Take a Nap
  9. Clean your House Spotless, It Feels Amazing!
  10. Write a Letter to a Friend, use Clip-art, Bright Colors, Quotes, etc.

I need to figure out how to get some me time happening. I don’t think it will ever happen.

Working out is my favorite time of day because I can pray/listen to music and it helps me focus and feel so much better all day long. Great list!

I think I do all of these things for some “me-time.” After completing any of these, I instantly feel much better. Great post!

LOVE this post! Great ideas! My fiancé travels often for work, so I’m always looking to find awesome “me time” stuff to do when he’s not around! Thanks for sharing. xoxox, Kayla http://www.lostgenygirl.com

I never feel like I have any me time to myself. It gets pretty tricky when you have your child full time as a single parent. We go for bike rides together, she always has to come shopping with me, bubble baths are not so peaceful anymore haha and taking a nap? A wish upon a star! But these are so great and honestly I enjoy doing them with my daughter. I love the list! Thanks for sharing.

Laura, it’s nice that you enjoy doing those things with your daughter though! You’re making memories that will last a lifetime!

Bubble baths are my favorite form of me time. With a book or Netflix 🙂
