Cupcake in a Jar

Cupcake in a Jar

These Cupcakes in a Jar make a perfect gift or a delicious Autumn treat!

Here’s What You Need:

  • Cupcakes
  • Buttercream Frosting
  • Small Mason Jars
  • Colorful Spoons
  • Pretty Ribbon

Directions:

  1. Bake your cupcakes.
  2. Whip up a batch of buttercream frosting.
  3. Slice the cupcakes in two horizontally.
  4. Place half of the cupcake into the bottom of the jar and top it with approximately two tablespoons of buttercream frosting.  Continue to layer the jar with cupcake halves and frosting until it is almost full.  Leave a little space in the top of the jar so that your cupcake won’t stick to the lid.
  5. Put the lid on the jar and tie a colorful spoon to the lid with a coordinating ribbon.

Cupcakes in a jar make a great gift or a fun party favor.  I used chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream frosting with an orange spoon and brown ribbon to give it a fall theme.  You can use all kinds of flavors and colors to make your Cupcakes in a Jar perfect for any occasion, holiday or season!
