Pumpkin Walk

Every Halloween the city of Syracuse, Utah puts on a spectacular display of pumpkins, carved and painted!  It’s one of our family traditions to attend The Pumpkin Walk every October. I love to walk among the jack-o-lanterns with my grand babies.  Bundled up for the cold, with red cheeks and noses,  they run from one pumpkin to the next, oohing and awing and telling the rest of the family, “Look at this one!  Look at this one!” The kids get…

How and When to Re-pot Your House Plants

A few weeks ago my sister and I were joking about how she was so organized and on top of things that she had spent the afternoon re-potting her house plants.  She is retired and I am earning my living by being blogger and a crafter, a childcare provider for five toddlers, a home school teacher for a preschooler and a 9th grader, and an office manager for our family window cleaning business! All those jobs leave leave very little…

Mummy Bottle

My sister loves wine and Halloween.  Her birthday is the 22nd of October so the month is doubly special to her.  She has dozens and dozens of cute and scary decorations that she puts up in her house and most years she has a costume party to celebrate Halloween and her birthday.  My other two sisters and I have traditionally given her Halloween decorations for her birthday.  A couple of years ago I decided to combine her love for Halloween…

Creepy Crawly Spiders!

In keeping with the spirit of Halloween, I decided to write a post about Spiders!  I wouldn’t go as far as to say I “like” spiders, although I wouldn’t say I “don’t” like spiders either (unless of course they are crawling on me or going to bite me, I certainly don’t like that!).  I have a cousin (whom I now know is completely crazy – sorry RCT!) that had a picture taken with a tarantula on his face. Although he…
