August is here again and it’s time to start getting ready for back to school. Summer flew by quickly but the kids are looking forward to new beginnings and reuniting with old friends! Everywhere you go, store shelves are full of school supplies, backpacks and lunch boxes, creating feelings of anticipation and excitement in the hearts and minds of students and parents alike!

I always find this such a sad time of year when the Halloween items, fall mums, and school supplies appear in the stores. I always hate to see summer end. I have no school age kids to shop for anymore, so the only thing I bought so far were the mums. Although I did take advantage of the back-to-school sales and purchased a new back pack to take hiking.

We sure are ready! But only because no one is going back to school this year. Everyone is either out of school or not old enough to attend yet. LOL Except for Teacher Daughter. Her first-grade classroom is looking fantastic and she’s chilling until next Thursday when the teachers go back.
