Broom & Jack-O-Lantern Treat

Broom & Jack-O-Lantern Treat

This fun broom and jack-o-lantern is a perfect Halloween treat for all of the special little boos and ghouls in your life!  It’s simple as can be to make and the kids will love it!

Jack-O-Lantern

Here’s What You Need:

  • Individual bottle of orange soda
  • Black foam sheet with adhesive backing
  • Green Ribbon, raffia or burlap.
  • Brown Paper Lunch Sack
  • 12-18″ dowel rod or stick
  • Candy to fill the broom

Directions:

  1. Remove the label from the orange soda bottle
  2. Draw a face for your jack-o-lantern on the foam sheet.
  3. Cut out the face pieces out, remove the protective backing and stick them to the bottle of orange soda.
  4. Tie a decorative bow on top using ribbon, raffia or burlap.

Broom

Here’s What You Need to Make the Broom:

  • Brown Paper Lunch Sack
  • 12-18″ dowel rod or stick
  • Green Ribbon, raffia or burlap
  • Candy to fill the broom

Directions:

  1. Crumple the brown paper lunch sack to give it a worn, textured look.
  2. Cut the bag (about 2/3 of the way down) into strips approximately 1/2 to 3/4 inches wide.
  3. Open the bag and fill the bottom with candy.
  4. Place the dowel rod (I painted mine black) into the top of the bag.
  5. Tie the dowel rod tightly into place using the decorative ribbon, raffia or burlap.

Present the treats to your favorite little ones and enjoy their bright eyes and grateful smiles as they enjoy their special gift!
